The History of Houses of Oxford

     Houses of Oxford is a 1 man band founded by me, Will Crompton (senior at Miami University). I guess I'll use this page to share a little bit of the journey up to this point; so, BUCKLE UP.

     A common question people ask me is, how did you come up with the idea? Well, like how you have any idea, you just think of it. Soon after the idea..the next day..I hit the streets with my journal going up down left right, up down left right. Keeping track of each street I had done. Within three weeks I was finished and so the next step was - what do I do with these names and how did I want to design the sweatshirt. Below was my progress through the design process:

Colors:   Front Design:  loud on the back meant quite on the front.

Personally you'll only see me wearing the pink, because ya know, real men wear pink. 

     The next step was sales and marketing. On weekends I would sell them Uptown on the sidewalk registered through the university because Houses of Oxford is associated with a student run club on campus called Side Hustle Club. Also on Saturdays I would go from house to house while of age students were day drinking, the conversation would go something like this: I would yell, "Abraham Drinkin!!" (all heads would turn) "Abraham Drinkin! I got you guys on the hoodie, you're right here!" "Huh? Let me see that!" some girl would reply, and so my sales pitch began. 

Something I think that is worth mentioning is this monumental moment when President Crawford bought a hoodie.

     The hoodie ties together Oxford tradition, culture, nostalgia and has really struck a chord with Miami students. The value, uniqueness, story behind it and fun the customer is getting for $25/$35 (student price/non-student price) you can't beat it.
